Welcome to our web site
ASCT was founded in 1975 to help the extremely poor children of the Philippines by caring for them on a long term basis.
Poverty affects the lives of many children in the Philippines. It is difficult to imagine being abandoned at an early age and having to fight for survival on the streets - begging, stealing, or selling yourself in order to eat. It is equally hard to imagine living and working on a rubbish dump in order to help support your family. Yet this is the everyday reality for many children helped by ASCT. We have three projects Mango Tree House, Cashew Tree School and The Grapevine Project. All three projects help children to improve their lives and reach their full potential through education.
ASCT are pleased to share four short documentaries showing true stories of children who have grown up in their care. Each chapter was written by the students themselves and can be viewed below and in the relevant project links.
This short film shows Tirso's Story.
